throwing a 41 code
any guidance, directions or help for a non electrical guy to diagnose an electrical problem would be appreciated oooooor is it best to bite the bullet and bring it to a shop ?
thanks

BTW You mention starter--the info above relates to the code 41--Is the engine not turning over OR turning over and not starting/running?

Is the starting issue separate from the code 41 issue or are they related ? in other words, do I pull the starter and have it checked then pursue correcting the code 41 issue.
thanks
First clear the DTC 41. Easiest way is to disconnect the negative battery cable for a couple of seconds.
Verify CCM DTC 41 sets again.
You should also see ERR displayed for Module 4 which is the ECM.
If you do see ERR displayed for Module 4, to verify the ECM is
functioning, short Pin A to Pin B on the Diag. connector and turn the ignition ON.

The Service Engine Soon Light should flash code 12 three times, DTC's
three times if there are any and then flash code 12 again 3 three times.
Example code 12 would be Flash pause Flash, Flash. Long pause between codes.
If the Service Engine Soon lamp does not flash any codes assuming the light bulb is good, the ECM is bad, the Eprom inside the ECM is bad or power or ground for the ECM is bad.
There is a used ECM on E-bay for $300.00. no core exchange.
