TPI Computer Tuning
Just wanted to knoe if the off the shelf computer chips work or is a custom tune better.
I use HP tuners on my truck because you can't tune a LSX440 with a hand held.

Replacement chips are a waste of time. Mail order tunes can be useful -- if significant changes are made to the car. With your '89, changes have to be fairly big to consider a mail order tune.
Scans with something like datamaster can tweak driving and/or WOT performance -- regardless of your config. With the mods listed in your sig, it's not necessary though.

The mods in my sig are what I have on the car now. As I just picked this car up from my dad last month.
I have a set of long tubes, heads, Cam and big tube runners sitting the box.
