Can anyone recommend someone in Bradenton-Sarasota area or even Tampa bay area that is experinced in reprograming my vette cooling fan, I talked to 2 different so called mechanics that did not have a clue>>> I dont feel comfortable trying this myself. I'm not asking for any favors and will pay. I put in new 180 thermostat and in florida it just runs too hot in traffic.. Also any recommended on and off temps??

You don't have to reprogram the chip. You can replace the coolant switch with a lower temp. Check Mid America, they have a kit with easy to follow instructions. Assuming the rest of the coolant system is working well, that could lower your temps.
However, the issue may not be the fan set point. In my opinion, C4 radiators are undersized. Once I went to a Dewitts radiator all my cooling issues were gone. I can sit in desert traffic with the A/C on.
