I have recently purchased a 95 convertable, and i had a keyless entry programmed, thinking it would be nice to not have to unlock my car with my keys all the time, well, dumb move.I think its suppose to lock and unlock by its self when approaching the car, well mine started unlocking the pass. door first then drivers door,it wouldnt work all the time, and it seemed to have a mind of its own.I would come out from work and find my car unlocked  so i kept the remote at home, thinking that would solve it,wrong,my car locks and unlocks when ever it wants,i know it unlocks and locks when a golf cart is around  I need help, the chevy dealer who programmed it said they needed to take my dash apart to disconnect it and charge me 2hrs labor, when it only took 5 minutes to program. Can someone please tell me theres a better way to get rid of this keyless entry?

You can remove the PKE fuse as a temporary fix. Its located on the passenger side. Open the pass door & you will see a panel on the end of the dash. The PKE fuse is #26. You can also hold down the door button on the FOB for 4 secs or so. You will hear the locks cycle. Turn the key on & if the PKE is still armed it will say Passive keyless on the lower left portion of the Drivers info center. If it has been disarmed then the light will be off. It sounds as tho you may have a bad door switch. I would check that out also. I wonder why the dealer did not pull the fuse?????
Re: How do i disconnect my keyless entry (lou sylvestri)
Thanks for the information you gave me,i tried the key FOB suggestion, holding it for 4 sec. and putting the key in,and i think it may have worked. My door locks dont seem to be acting up now,and my FOB is not working either,GREAT...thats what i wanted it to do,not work again.I didnt mess with the fuse,so i hope all goes well.I dont drive the car very much at all,it just sits in the garage with a cover on it,so I will have to keep checking in the morning and at night to see if it acts up again, but i do appreciate the information you gave me and I'll keep my fingers crossed for now. Thanks

Some people have found that after they bought there car the keyless would act up. They later found a 2nd key fob under the seat or somewhere. Then if the fob was moved by the car shaking it would unlock the doors. I locked my keys in once. It didn't take much of a rocking to activate the fob so the doors unlocked.
