Had a problem with bogging down and hesitation under moderate heavy acceleration, I could not figure it out so to the shop it went... Rear Cat is clogged.....
They want 500.00 to place it.. Can I just remove it altogether I know I will have a constant ses light but any other problems?

I got a Magnaflow cat for my 89 a few months ago, 20% more flow then stock and the car has much more pickup, cost was $136.00. Don't you have a visual inspection in Florida? If you don't, you will within a few years, id stick with a high flow cat..WW

I tossed my 86 cat, years ago. Cut the flange off the cat and mig welded it onto a piece of 3" pipe, making it the same length as cat.
No lights, no codes, no problems, and no BS
Did the same on my 87 cut the cat out replaced it with an 18" 3" in and out dirt track muffler from schoenfeld and lost the flowmasters, ran the tail pipes on out the back and it sounds awsome. It lost that drone it had before. And seems to have picked up the low end power.
