I bought a harlan light to go in my 95 dash with the electronic shift 4l60E.I am adding it to help fine tune the shift points using software settings in my LT1 edit to adjust. The problem with using LT1 edit to data log is it only data logs to 6375rpm max and stops which is just shy of where my shift points are. Don't plan to buy additional new software so thought the light would help set them.

I already posted my thoughts in your previous thread on this same topic. It looks like you bought one, installed it, used it awhile, and then sold it. So it didn't have any benefit to you?

I don't know if there is any benifit in an auto but it is interesting. I've been monitoring my shift lights performance compared to the "atari" LCD RPM response for some time now....for fun. The shift light "on" and stock RPM panel are accurate as long as you ease (normal sprited driving is fine) into the upper RPM ranges. RPMs on the "atari" dash are not as accurate (slow to calculate RPM) during super quick (idle to WOT pedal through the floor) acceleration bursts... the differences can be up to ~1,500 RPMs when compared...takes about .5 - 1 second for the atari powered processors within the cluster to catch up....so I think that with having a "manual" tranny with an atari cluster and a super heavy right foot you'd want a shift light installed for sure.
I have one on my steering column and have a 4L60E. It's actually left over when the car had a manual tranny. Just sits there and occasionally flashes. I data log all my runs with my LM-1 and race with the tranny in drive. Don't really use it for drag racing.
