Default Wiper issue

does anyone know what causes my wiper blades to NOT return to their normal position when I turn the wipers off or when the wipers are in intermittent mode.

they wipe fine, but they stop where they stop, sometimes, and then sometimes they return to where they belong. Its something that's been broken a long time.

The "park" position is controlled inside the wiper motor assembly.

Thanks,

I'm guessing that means I'm buying a new wiper motor right?

oh well.

Could be as simple as a intermittent electrical connection at connector terminal or failing park switch(under plastic cover).

Mine stay raised when the wipers are on, even in intermittent mode. They only go all the way down when turned off. I assumed that was the way they should work.
