Well I thought I had the problem found however when that cat was cut off it was empty, a Straight pipe was welded in and it ran better but still hesitation and bogging down under mod/heavy acceleration. Disconnected the Maf and it ran better still but the problem is still there but not to the extent that it was....
When the cat blew out could some of the guts be in the mufflers and restricting the flow, or is it a bad maf, maf was replaced in 05.
maybe the ignition is misfiring under load or the plugs are a very wide gap due to age and wear.... I dunno more info please. I would recommend checking the basic fundamentals before buying sensors and such. have you driven down the street with a fuel pressure gauge attached and taped to the windshield? done any ign system checks with a spark gap tester or anything equivalent?
another train of though...the cat grenaded and committed suicide for a reason. barring physical damage from the road, they usually go out when you dump a lot of unburned hydrocarbons for an extended period of time through them...which brings me back to the fuel and spark checks.

86 stock motor Changed the plugs out today, new wires, tps set to .54... have not checked fuel pressure. light mild acceleration is fine only problem is under moderate / heavy throttle.
