What do I torque the 3 bolts holding the spider down around the lifters too?
Oh yeah, I got the stuck lifters unstuck - I just took my rubber mallet and "gently" tapped on them after bathing them in oil to get them to move. I can now turn the cam and they move relatively freely. I guess this will be better when I get oil circulating in the engine and they get pumped up with oil.
I'm in the same situation as you. I installed lifters today, but I couldn't find any torque specs in my service manual. I just hand tigtened the 3 bolts for now. Hopefully someone can help us out. TTT
14ftlb with blue loctite (blue liquid, not blue bottle). but, loctite is useless if there's any oil on/in the threads, so clean with brake parts cleaner. (both block threads and bolts!)
