I just had my trans rebuilt with a B&M shift kit. Nice firm shifts while cruising around, and it'll snap the 315's loose when you get on it!

A shift kit will certainly help you find worn out parts in the drive-line It's a great upgrade in my book!

(A LOT of guys suggest the trans-go... Be warned that it can break hard parts.)

Usually its between the Trans go and the B&M. Trans go is a bit smoother than the B&M. I use B&M in mine have am pleased with it.

Trans-go here...it comes with a number of springs to set the clutch application rate. I picked the hardest shift....if I did it again, I might pick the next spring down. I suspect the problem is that the motor is still up around 1800-2000 on startup when I put it in drive. If I wait til the motor slows down to 1000 rpm or so, that first application isn't quite as dramatic.
