Finally, my luck is turning around. I had a good job interview today and I just called and found out what the problem is with the transmission. It was the Manifold Pressure Switch that was keeping it from shifting into third. After taking the entire transmission apart again looking for a reason for it not working and coming up empty handed, he started to question the pressure switch. He took the pressure switch out of mine and put it on their "test dummy Z28" and it wouldn't shift into 3rd either! Problem found :D ... so he picked up a new one for $37 and he's going to finish putting the valve body on tonight and he said pick it up in the morning ... WHOOHOO (and he guaranteed me it would be ready tomorrow morning, so I will be there waiting until he gets it done if he doesn't get done tonight like he said he would).

Mine was doing the same thing, and I've had it back to the guy 5 or 6 times now from it doing the same thing over and over again. I hope yours doesn't keep going out like mine did! I've but more money in to my trany that I could have bought a brand new one by now. Reading how cheap yours was shows me that I was taken for, 5 or 6 times!!!!!! :mad :mad :mad

I don't know if it was the mainfold pressure switch, but mine was doing the same thing and not going into third gear. There was a few times when it would go out on me that it would go from 1st to 2nd to neutral and just rev up. Don't know if that's going to be the same issues or not...

You know you could solve all of your problems, including interior resonance if you had a 6-spd. I'll make a deal with you, you just send me your 383, I'll send you in return a Hot Cammed 350 with a T56 Camaro 6-spd, along with none of the stuff required to make it bolt up.
