emergency brake cables
At the end of each brake cable there is a rubber boot where it connects to the caliper. Both of mine are deteriorated. They appear to be very mushy and sticky with a holes in them. Are these boots available? I've seen pics of new cables but they don't show the boots.

Does GM sell this boot separately? Is there a part number? Or does it only come with the factory installed cables?

Hmmm. That's interesting, but they probably wouldn't know which one of their offerings would match the boot on the 96. They appear to be an OEM supplier for Asian manufacturers. They'll want to sell me 10,000 of them. I guess I could share them with other forum members

How do you know they want to sell 10,000 ? Did you talk to them? Chance's are you will be Steered to someone who can help you.
