Hey guys thanks for the help, checked tonight and had no spark. Tomorrow I'll pick up a ICM and Coil and put them in. I just needed a place to start looking and work from there.
Instead of throwing money at it, take the coil and ICM off and have them tested!!!!!!!!!!
Hey I wanted to thank you guys for the help. I bought the ICM and Coil and installed the ICM and it FIRED RIGHT UP. I put the clam shell down and went for a cruise and it was running as good as ever. When I get a little more time I'll install the coil. I didn't want drain the coolant down and pull those hoses off to get to the coil tonight. Being 17 years old I thought it would be a good idea to replace that also, but another day. It was great to get it back on the road after weeks of bad weather or being broken down.
To sufer92 and the others that said have the parts tested first, I know that's the way to go but didn't know where to take them. I'm making a point to find out where for the next time something goes out. That will take the guess work out of the problem.

OH What a Feeling....eh !!!!!!! Congrats and good job! Having a non-running vette is depressing...I know
Good job and success. I think you made the right move it replacing the ICM. If they tested it, it would probably have checked good when cold. It does not get any heat applied to it and the problem might never have appeared. Substitution is sometimes the best method especially if it is time or temperature related.

No need to disconnect any hoses to replace the coil. However I will say it is a PIA the first time to replace the coil because the assembly has rivets which have to be drilled/dremmel the heads off to replace the coil. The ICM is fast, the coil will take you some time.
BTW--- just thought about this--you may or may not know---most (but not all) new ICMs come with a packet of thermal grease to apply to the back of the ICM to transfer heat away from it---without it the ICM won't live long. I'm speaking of thermal grease NOT dielectric grease. Just thought I'd mention it lest your "joy" be short lived.

Thanks for the tip because I didn't know and when I took it out of the box I didn't see anything else. I went out found the box in the trash and the little tube was in with the packing material and would have been thrown out. When I took the old part off the aluminum backer plate and the ICM were both covered with the grease but I thought that was anti corrosive grease because of the aluminum. I'll be removing the part, cleaning the old stuff off and applying the new grease.
