PKE working again after 2 years

Just wanted to pass along a big Thank You to the contributors of this post . I was ready to buy a new fob, but after reading the posts, and the owners manual (ya- finally) the PKE is now working. After dissasembling the fob, cleaning the ball bearing, and adding a bit of spacer material to the top of the battery to ensure a good contact with the positive & negative sides, it still would not work. When I re-programmed it, it started working- beautiful.
Also your posts explained how this thing works, as I previously had no idea it was so different form current remote key fobs.

uh oo... I just took the cover off the ball bearing carefully, bounced and rolled off the counter into the carpet. will try the vaccum to find it what color was it?
