The "Basic operating rpm range" can vary with different heads, intake, exhaust, ect. But, it is a basic guideline for the rpm range that you are looking for, low end, mid range, or high rpm.
The "Computer controlled compatible" means the camshaft is ground to work with a fuel injected engine, will usually have a wider lobe seperation angle (LSA).
so if I have a 91 vette (no mods) I should look for cams that are computer compatible ?

If you're keeping the stock heads and intake you should be looking for a small cam (it will be computer compatible) , however, if you end up with a head/cam intake swap you may decide on larger cam. Personally I wouldn't sweat computer compatible. I'd talk with my tuner and see what he could tune or not....
