Hi guys, I was hoping to get some feed back from the C4 guys. I am restoring a 59' vette that isn't original. I am going to put a 1990 C4 suspension into the car and have a 355 SBC engine all ready for the car. I was wondering if you guys think I should use the 90' intake I was able to aquire and if it would make a great reliable intake or maybe just go with the Edelbrock ProFlo II system. The car will be a driver and see highways, not the drag strip. I've been told that the TPI off an original 90 vette is very limitting, but do not want to spend a lot of money buying a new setup. If I have to do that I'll just buy the Edelbrock unit.

Any sugestions? Ideas? What would you do?
Thanks for the help.
You can use all the TPI stuff(injectors, harness, T/B, and ECM) with a Holley Stealth ram and fuel lines if you have enough hood clearance. That will be a lot cheaper. $319+ $183 for fuel rails
You might also want to look into different injectors the factory Multecs are C**p. For that I suggest you see Jon FIC.
So as far as your concerned the factory TPI in a 90 vette isn't worth it. I had gotten feed back from a few guys that used it in their C1 and loved it. Remember I am using the car for street, cruising. Nothing more but relaxing drives. It is a 59'

It's a good intake for torque. It depends on what you want out of it. If it's just a cruiser you'll be happy with it; good pull off the line, and no problem cruising on the highway. If you aren't racing or running her up to redline, I think you'll be just fine.

+2 I couldn't agree more with bad karmas response..........Excellent for a cruiser daily driver.......
If the TPI is nice and clean looking it could be just what you want. Snappy around town and good mileage on the road. If you plan on turning the motor over 4800 rpm, go aftermarket.
What about porting it. Is it true that once you siamese the runners and open up the ports the intake air turbulance can cause an issue. I'd like to port the thing as much as possible. I have a small machine shop and know that is some thing I can accomplish. Is it worth it, and if so what are the do's and don'ts.
The TPI will be perfect for your application. Early Corvettes aren't the most aerodynamic and I'm sure you'll spend a lot of time with the top down. TPI will be reliable, easy to keep running properly and will give you plenty of down low grunt to look good.
