YES
Definately do it! It is possible to install the Hurst with the exhaust in place, but I hope your into micro-surgery :D . The 20 minutes it takes you to unbolt/remove the exhaust will save you alot of time in the installation process. That rubber shift boot is tough to negotiate.

Thanks guys, sounds like I will be dropping the exhaust. I am going to install the Hurst on Easter weekend, and didn't want to do any unnecesary work.
