The last owner of my 1992 corvette replaced the fx3 shocks with some lower quauilty shocks. Of course the original actuators where no where to be found. I just bought used actuators. And I just bought new shocks. What all parts do i need to make everything work. And if anyone could show my pictures of the assembly, that would be great. Thanks
You can search this section using "FX3" as the search term, but to get pictures of the components and how to troubleshoot the system, the best thing to have is the FSM for your year. The actuator has to be sitting on the shock in a specific way so that it will "see" the entire range of motion of the shock rod gear.
The actuators are held to the top of the shock with a large C-clip. The top of the shock also has a cup with teeth on it. You will need both of those if you don't already have them.
If the PO didn't tie up the harness connector at the rear, the wire may have fallen down inside the frame rail. It's a PITA to fish out, but it can be done.
