Default 1986 knock sensor recall ?

I have been told that there was an engine knock sensor recall for 1986 Vettes sometime in 1987 or 1988. Can anyone point me in the right direction to find this GM Bulletin? Here is a photo of the OEM sensor and a dealer installed fix.

Any help will be appreciated.

your pic shows the sensor that controls the 'second' radiator fan, not a knock sensor...AFAIK the knock sensor recall was a 'silent recall' for only those 86-89 owners who complained of high engine speed misfire, dealer 'cure' was change to p/n 16038331 knock module.

Thanks Red.

Then let me restate my question. Was there a GM recall for the auxiliary fan sensor? If so, can you point me to where I might get a copy of the Service Bulletin? Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Pete.

Is this the correct p/n 16038331 knock module?

about 9:00 AM, get a dozen fresh donuts from a local bake shop, walk up to the service writer's desk at your local chevy dealer with your VIN number, ask for a print-out of all service bulletins pertaining to your car, offer to stop back tomorrow if he's too busy.

no, the knock module is a black plastic rectangular box abt 2.5'' x 2.5'' x 1/2'' thick, with a five-wire connector on one end...look on the pass side rear of the engine compartment, above the windshield washer bottle.
