Default Mini-Ram Hp Increase

I was looking at a web site that claims you can get a +95 hp increase at 5200RPM just by changinf the stock TPI to a Mini-Ram.
Is this possible?
What should I REALISTICALLY expect to gain?

You need to look at it a bit more carefully I think. I think what they mean is that on a modified engine you can gain that much over the tuned port induction. Don't just put a mini-ram on without other mods.

Yeah they can be really misleading. Although it may flow better then stock, your stock L-98 cant really take advantage of it enough to make a difference.

But if you did a cam change to a little more aggressive cam and then got the mini ram, I would say you would def be heading in the right direction.

Good Luck !!

Thanks for the input guys.

Here is the add word for word. (cut and pasted)
What do you think?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

TPIS MINI-RAM
This fabulous new one-piece casting is ideal for the serious car nut in the 90's. If used as a replacement for a stock Tuned Port you will see a 95+ HP gain at 5200 RPM. If you build the motor on the mild side, i.e. small cam and some porting, 125+ HP is very possible. If you go on the wild side you will be able to exceed any single four barrel power numbers, all with greater driveability and economy. Installs on existing TPI vehicles with just our Fuel Rail Kit. Use the Mini-Ram to replace and out-perform any carbureted system, just add our Wire Harness. (And the rest of the relays and sensors.) Use either a mass air sensor or as a Speed/Density system. This manifold delivers more torque from 2000 to 2700 RPM than a stock or modified TPI, and gives a great rush of power from 3500 RPM to 6500 RPM. This manifold brings you L98 up to LT1 performance levels and more.

thats a realistic claim, BUT you have to consider that the stock TPI doesn't make hardly any HP at 5200rpm.
the peak HP on the TPI is at around 4000rpm and drops like a stone after that. lets say it drops about 45hp (a estimate from looking at a stock dyno graph) by the time it get to 5200rpm.
The mini-ram moves your peak HP to about 5200rpm. so really your gaining maybe 45hp over what your current peak HP is.
I hope that makes sense :)
