Dash Cluster
I just purchased an 86. The scale on the speedo is solid orange all the time and the digital readout is poor at best. The rest of the cluster seems to work pretty good. Does this mean the LCD is bad?

you may have burned out bulbs,and its not that hard to replace them.its best to replace all 4 and see what happens
seeing the colors with the ignition off is a sign of sun fading and may require replacent with new or refurbished lcd panels. CONGRATULATIONS on your purchase,we wud love to see pics of your new vette.and welcome to the forum!!!!

Hey peter this is your neighbor,
I just got a used cluster for my 95 off e bay for 99 bucks.I know it's not like yours but you can get some good deals there.
I also just picked up a FSM for 60 bucks.

Hi Todd,
I've been looking on e-bay and it looks like I can probably get one for $250.00 or so. I think I might even try to do the fix I've seen posted on betee.com befor that.

There is also a corvette salvage yard in Dade city.They are expensive,but garrenty it to work.They wanted 250 for a cluster for my 95 and I found mine for 99 bucks off e bay.
