Default Wishful thinking?

Ok, I have been looking at my Corvette sitting wrecked in the driveway for two weeks. I need input. The frame in FRONT of the A-arms is pointing south and buckled. The wheel is slightly turned left, but it appears to be from the crossmember which can be replaced so I am told. Anyone out there think this frame (and ultimately the car) can be saved? It needs extensive body parts but everything in the front is bolt on, not bonded so it can't be that tough. The radiator got whacked, but not the engine.

after first reading this post I went and found your story in the C4 general section
sorry to hear about this Aerovette.
Anything can be fixed,
but this is going to cost a great deal to "fix right" (I'd guess 10,000+ for a shop to fix) then you may be forced to have a salvage title (depending on state) and that kills the resale price. :(

I know you have a great deal of time and effort in your ride. its hard to start over, but starting over can be just as fun as the first time and easier on some parts (the second time around).
I'm on my 3rd vette, and I traded my first one in on it, that was a little hard to do. I had twice as much in it as it was worth, plus all my time and effort. It looked great, dealer said it was the best driving 75 he had ever been in. Do I miss it? sometimes. but I like this one just as much, and I'm still working on it. It's not as pretty yet, but it has its own high points.

I think you'll be better off with another vette, remember theres nothing wrong with getting another one. and you can upgrade too maybe a convertable?
