Block Pressure

I recently reworked the top end and eleminated the PCV valves and installed breathers on the valve covers. Now I'm got an oil leak at the rear main seal. Could that be caused by removing the PCV valves?

How many miles on the bottom end? If you improved sealing on the heads, you may now be getting more blowby past the rings

Yes, the PCV creates a slight negative pressure in the crankcase, the breathers cause a slight positive pressure which could cause an oil leak.

False alarm, I found an oil leak around the rear of one of the valve covers. I tightened that and hopefully that will stop.
