Well, I am about to put my transmission back in the Vette. Its a 4L60.
There are so many ideas on what fluid is best, and yet no real proven data to say this is the best fluid to allow your transmission to run, and these additive packages within our fluid are best yada yada. Synthetic/Non Synth?
So, whats the fluid of choice with proper cooling etc etc. This transmission originally came with DexIII, and now we are up to a DexVI.
Been there used that. Good stuff, but more people go AMSOIL/REDLINE.
I would love to see 3 identical 4L60's built, and use M1/AMSOIL/REDLINE and put them in a transmission dyno, or behind a car on a road course....
When I used there(MOBIL1) gear oil in the DIFF, it leaked, with two different Danas. Wierd. AMSOIL, no leaks

I use amsoil on my diff and tranny with no leaks or problems. Get them by the case in the internet for a better deal, I could'nt tell you if i notice a difference I had the tranny biffed up when i changed oils.
