92 Cluster issue and no start
The second problem is a no start. I do not hear the fuel pump come on at all, not even when you try to start it for a few seconds.
Does anyone have a good part number for the correct fuel pressue gauge so I can check the fuel rail? We didn't find one here in North Alabama that would work.
Second, I am wondering if the instrument cluster problem and the fuel pump issue could be linked. It is kind of fishy that they both happened around the same time.
Any and all advice is appreciated. I'm just trying to get my Dad's vette running so he can enjoy it. Thanks all.
Then see if you have power going to the pump, if you have dash problems, you might have a VATS isssue.
If you have a spare key, try that.
Any FP gauge will work, the schrader valve is under the fuel injector cover on the passenger side, between the nbr 4 and 6 injectors.
Was dash taken apart?
Check the grounds, when my tranny was rebuilt they did not hook up one of the grounds and I had all kinds of things happen.
There are 2 grounds on the tranny, one is a big ole strap on the drivers side near the oil filter and the other is near the starter.
There are several others, but those are the 2 that ground the engine and tranny.
Send an IM to me w/ your email address and I will send you diagnotic procedures from the factory service manual.
Gook Luck!!
