I don't need to see that much benefit right now. I do race 3 or 4 times a year and I do all right now, (13.9s). I just don't want to loose anything. These AFR 190's sound impressive. I went to their site to get some prices but I had trouble doing so. Thanks for your input. :chevy

keep the dart iron eagles in mind. they will make good power straight out of the box. especially after they have been ported/polished and bowl blended, then your looking at very impressive gains.

Excellent taste, we do have. Which AFR's did you get? How do you like them?

Bought the "Street Weapons" 64cc variety. Haven't got them yet...they tell me tomorrow. I'll let you know.

Have you checked out Scoggin-Dickey Chevrolet Vortec heads with the Vortec intake manifold? They advertize 40 hp increase with this combo alone.

Don't count out the vortec heads if you do a search on ebay for "vortec adapters" you will find that for about $60 you can use your stock valve covers on the vortec's. The intake for the vortec heads looks just like the stock one. And the head are iorn not aluminum so they look stock. The hole package will cost you less than the AFR heads alone.

vortec heads new $425
Scoggin Dickey intake $400
valve cover adapters $60
$885

If you go used it will be cheaper yet.

This is the route I originally was going, but I thought the intake would be a problem. Now I have to regroup my thoughts. Do you know who sells the adapters other than ebay? Thanks much for your info and input. :chevy
