87 left headlight motor

Default 87 left headlight motor
HAS ANYONE SEEN THIS ISSUE?
My 87 driver side light motor does not open. When I manually open the light and turn the lights on and off the motor activates to close. Weird or is this part of the motor failing and it needs to be replaced.
