Took me all day and as stated in previous lowering threads, cutting the rubber off was the hardest part. Accessing the top bolt on the passenger side, for the spring bracket, was quite difficult as well. I had a lot of fun, although it took me all day
I was able to peel the rubber off of the ends of the spring and the rubber on top I left about an 1/8 of an inch. I cut down the aluminum brackets with an air saw. Pretty easy, just took a long time and 3 trips to Harbour Freight.

Looks great! My fiance helps me do stuff too. I thought it would stop when we got engaged because I thought she was only doing to to impress me, but she says she likes it!

How much lowered was it in the before picture? Not to be a dick, but I liked that ride height it was before. To each there own.

My stock ride height needs to be lowered. I cant slam it or I will rub the exhaust and the Canton big pan.

So you left the spring ends rest on the aluminum arms directly with no padding, or did you still leave some like on the top?

Gotta dig the green fingernails.

No offense taken. It was stock before. I thought it looked ok before too, but I just had to do it. For me though, I'm happier with it lowered

It looks great lowered. But I'm wondering if the bare ends of your spring are going to get trashed over time by sitting directly on the control arm with no rubber pad between them, or cause squeaks.

Five years of DD slammed (with exception of a couple 3 to 6 month gigs to the Sand Box) with no issues......no squeeks....no bump steer or any of the hazards folks warn will happen....

To the OP looks good...

My spring has metal on the spring ends.....
Last summer when I went thru the suspension (just checking stuff out) everything looked OTAY>>>>

I'm happy to read this because I just removed the pads on my front spring too.
