Default Digital cluster fails

Hello,
I'm Jordi from Barcelona (Spain). I have a C4 '86 year, and some months ago, my digital cluster doesn't work correctly.
It becomes dark after a few minutes, then I disconnect for test the wires that arrives at cluster, and there are all right. I think that there aren't problems with ground.
I connect the cluster and it's dark but the turns lights works right (it means that current arrive, but the lcd's are still dark).
I wait a few minutes without connecting the cluster, after I connect it and works fine but turns dark after a few minutes (turns lights works fine).
There is a strange thing when the cluster works and is the voltimeter that is marking 17V and, when I test the wires arrives 12V.
Someone can help me please?

Is this the ground G201?

According to the FSM = G201-behind I/P, near LH side of steering column.
I'm thinking it's inside the cabin, but their info is not too clear.
I'm wondering if your problem is related to the Ambient Light Sensor in panel. My foggy brain remembers something about it's power source is tied into another circuit and when that fuse goes, so does light control of LCD.
I'll see if I can dig up any more info.

I don't know if you have checked out this website, but it has some good info.
http://www.batee.com/corvette/dcrg/index.shtml

As for the fuse, it may be the 3 amp LPS fuse, test it for continuity, and while your at it, the 5a cluster fuse and 10 a gauges fuse.

You might find this thread useful, too.

Thank you for the info. I knew the battee's web but i don't sure that this resolve my problem. I read the another link and I will test the ground 104 that it could be the problem.

Also, I test the photo cell sensor with a flash light and don't do anything. It's still dark. I don't know if my photo cell is bad or no. How I know it?

Is possible that the bulbs are damaged? Because when the cluster is connected is as a charging and, when it's hot the lights doesn't work (It's a supposition). But the strange is that when I disconect the cluster and let it rest for a few minutes, after I connect it and works fine for a few minutes.
I'm going crazy! Is not a common problem.
I read a lot of posts and I can't resolve it. Any more ideas?

I had a similar problem, the repair was a new power supply module on the cluster. PM me for the business that replaced it. It isn't cheap. 3 at least.

I had the same problem twice in 9 years. It was the power supply both times. One clue is the cluster volt meter reading high, when voltage is OK
I've heard that there is a redesigned power supply module and saw one repair service on ebay that offered it

I has tested all the possibilities without solutions, and the power supply module is the most logical info for my cluster's symptons. I have to replace it.
Thank you so much.
