not good please help

Default not good please help

hey all i just got my 87 corvette (my first) and now it is not starting the starter just grinds so i put it in the air which was more difficult than i thought then i spun the fly wheel by hand and it is missing a couple teeth so im like crap but i thought it would start if i spun it a little but no so does that mean i need a flywheel and a starter? has anyone had to do this before? and what is the best route to take? please help im want to do it myself

A few teeth is no big deal. Put a new remanufactured starter on it, shim it according to the directions in the box, and forget about it if it is fine.
If it still grinds, flexplate replacement is required.
