Default Engine Knock Under heavy acceleration

I got an 85 C4 with a 350 TPI, new matched and flowed injectors, new mass air flow sensor, new wires, rebuilt distributor per factory recall, repaired wire to distributor and new control box for it. Is there any other things to check such as knock sensor, ect? Id like to get engine to run peak performance before modifying it for more horsepower. It also stumbles and hesitates once in awhile at idle at a light, ect but clears as I throttle it. Also would changing chip help? Top speed is 120 max, Dealer says this car should run 150 Plus.

Drive vette w/ fuel press. gauge taped to windshield, to verify press. when acting up.
Check ign. timing & make sure it advances when you rev it.

Sounds like you may be running lean...change fuel filter, then drive it under load w/ pressure gauge to see what your FP is

You could have a major problem if your corvette only goes 120 mph.Check compression on all cylinders. Also pull each injector one by one while car is running & see if knocking gets worse on a specific cylinder.Any codes? How old is your knock sensor?Check fluid levels. Also check each spark plug while doing compression check. What is your oil pressure reading on your electronic gauge?Any work been done previous to your problem?
