Quick oil dipstick question
When i changed my oil last week, I put in 4 1/2 quarts per the capacity listed in the owner manual w/ new filter added at oil change. But dipstick shows oil level only a little above the bottom of the safety zone. Should I leave it or put more in to bring it up to middle or slightly higher in the safety range on the dipstick? I thought 350 small blocks usually took 5 qts with a filter change...

I always use 5 qts. with the filter change. :cheers: As you know the filter holds a quantity that really doesn't show on the dipstick. 5 qts shud put you to the top of the operating range of the d/stick.
