Passenger side door is sagging and the glass windows is hitting the frame of the car and scratching off paint... I was told the bushings and pins were worn out..
I went to autozone here locally and they do not have any in stock, said I have to go to dealer or another place in the area called Just CorVettes.. I called them and they only have the hinges???? Anyone got any ideas? how can i tell if its the hinges vs the pins and bushings??? Any help would be great!!!!
I found some on corvettecentral.com.. NOt sure what all i needed? If i wanted to do both doors, should i get 4 pins and 4 bushings?
- my son's 85 has worn pin/bushings on the drivers door. the door saggs slightly. with the door open about 30 degrees, you can lift the door and feel the play in the door and the worn pins. the door probably moves up/down a 1/16" or so.
Try your local Chevy dealer for hinge pins. They come complete with the bushing. Another problem is if its been that way a while, your pin hole has wollowed and new pins will be a couple of year fix..
