Guys/Gals,
I’m considering swapping my cfi motor for a 95 LT1 obd-1; anyone out there have experience with this? I would like to keep my current 700r4 since it was recently rebuilt and beefed up. Is this going to be a big problem for the lt1 ecm? Thanks for any help.

Save yourself a whole lot of money and headache and put a converted LT1 intake or miniram on it if thats what you want.

I totally agree. There are some guys who have made such a swap but it calls for a lot of changes and modifications.

Once you sit down and compare the benefit Vs the cost and effort involved you'll easily see that the power increase can be gotten much more easily by modding your current engine.

Thanks for the input guys. I'm not completely sold on the lt1 swap yet, but a buddy will sell me his lt1 with harness, ecm, and 4l60E for $800. I've already started collecting parts to hop up my crossfire and have spent that much on the intake throttle bodies and ecm and I will still have a inferior induction system compared to the lt1. Plus there is a lot more aftermarket support for the lt1 for future mods.

maybe, is HSR an acroynm for Holley Stealth Ram? I didn't think they would clear a vette hood?

Yes the stealth ram. There are a couple of ways to make it fit.
LD85 cut his down
There's also a thread here and another place where I took a lot of pics of the stealth under the hood and came up with a angle'd spacer.
I sent you a pm as well

If I remember correctly don't you use the ebl/flash?
here you go, found it
