20 plus years ago, I put a set of hedman headers on a 76 camaro 305. Had the car over 2 years and never had a leak anywhere. The fit was fine. But on the C-4 from what others have posted about them, the fit is terrible and they develop leaks. Id go with hookers.
I have installed a LOT of headers on a LOT of cars. The Hooker SC's(2149) are the only set I have ever installed that didn't need any modification to fit, meaning, no bending, denting, removing major stuff. The only things you can't retain are the back braces for the AC and alternator.
Does anyone know if the 2161 Supercomp shorty headers are legal for an LT4 in California. They have a CARB # EO D-164-4. I have a copy of the order and it lists a camaro on the Executive Order but not the LT4 engine and not the Corvette. Anyone have more info.
I have a set of Hedmans that have about 50 miles on them that I'm thinking of getting rid of and getting a set of 2151 coated Hookers. I had Hedmans on my 68 SS Camaro, and my 72 Z-28 and they fit great, but the passanger side on my 68440 Hedmans rub the footwell. I may try bending them over. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=255944
I have the Headmen Headers...Seem to work fine on my 1991 vette? I payed i think 200$ they are not coated or nothing and they still look new and i have had then on my car for ummm i think 2 yrs now? Easy to install and did not have to cut nothing they fit right in?
:yesnod:
I guess I'll be ordering hooker 2151's, I was asking because the speedshop has a set of hedman's in STOCK..
I always have to order everything for my car and WAIT....  :yesnod:
