hey all, found out why my ride control doesnt work, nothing connected to the shocks! does anyone have a set for the front that they would like to sell or know where i can get a pair? thanks! brian
Check on eBay. New FX3 shocks go for ~ $185 each, and New actuators are $290+ each. Is all your wiring intact?
Thomas
yes, it Looks like someone unplugged the electronic cable and actuator, and just left everything else. im wondering why? also, no lights or codes.
looks like all i need are the actuators.what bothers me is why they would remove the cables. are there any shocks that are worth a darn, that i could replace the ones i have, in case there is more to this than just the cables? by the way, my 95 is the same color as yours, polo green.
thanks!
brian
I'm not sure I understand - are you saying the FX3 wiring is also MIA? Sometimes when the rear actuator wiring is unplugged it falls inside the frame.
As always, money is the answer to your why question: an owner who didn't want to spend money, or a dealer who figured it was a negative monetary feedback to properly repair. I like the FX3, and I wouldn't be as happy without it.

the wiring is whats missing.
it looks like they unplugged it and just didnt put it back on!
the quick connect is still there on both sides, just not the cable that runs from the connector to the shock. id sure like to try the fx 3, but with no connection, i dont know what kind of ride im getting!
My bet is the PO had problems and did not want to spend the money to maintain the FX3 system. He might even have pulled the control module as well. A set of non-adjustable Bilsteins will cost you about $300 and will bolt right up with no problems.
