1989 Anti Locks
I am back again to pick your brains on anti lock brakes.
I realized that the antilocks have not worked for some time and just the other day I checked the anti lock compartment to see what things looked like. It was really wet in there, apparently from condensation because the car has not been in dry storage out of the rain.
I dried the compartment and contents out and now the antilock dash light is on all the time. Go figure!
Other than the fuses that checked OK, where would be a good place to start to troubleshoot the situation?
I did replace both front hubs recently if that has any "bearing" on things and just last weekend replaced all the brake hoses and pumped new DOT 3 through the system.
It seems like every time I open my big trap and say "everything on this vehicle has been replaced so what is left to go wrong" something else craps out. Makes life interesting!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks

After stripping back both ends of the wire and trashing the corroded connector I crimped a splice onto the wires and took a ride. The antilock dash light is off and the brakes work great now. I expected to see the same antilock light on the dash come on when I tromped on the brake but another light to the left of it came on displaying ABS Active or something like that.
Since there are many other connectors in that compartment that are candidates for the same corrosion I need to find a way to vent the enclosure to eliminate condensation. Another challenge.
Yet another fine mess the forum got me out of!
Thanks all!
