Default anybody use this cam?

http://www.compperformancegroupstore...Code=LTCAMSXFI

I have stock exhaust manifolds, cats and xpipe with magnaflow mufflers.

Anyone have any idea how this would perform with my car (LT4)?

From what I've read guys LOVE IT. Excellent low and mid-range torque, decent idle, great daily driver/performance improvement cam.

I think they are similar but from what I can tell it might have a little more low end grunt....wanted to know if anyone had a better feel for it than I. I have heard its a pretty good cam tho.

Jake, that is what I have heard too. I think I will go with this instead of hot cam.

Comp cam 268XFI HR13:

GM LT4 Hot cam:

I have never been good and "estimating" what a cam will do by the numbers!

seems a little pricey;

LT4 "hot" cam in an LT4 with stock 1.6 ratio rockers = .525 inch lift at the valve which coincidentally is the max recommended lift for stock LT4 valve springs;

better plan on valve spring and retainer upgrades too. Possible new valve seals. May have to modify valve guide height to accommodate the extra lift and eliminate potential valve seal / retainer interference.

If passing smog tests is an issue, investigate that also.

The price is actually very good. That includes retrofit roller lifters. Those things are pricey.

Ah I see, the GM HC actually has a little more exhaust duration and a little more aggressive lobe separation. How lopey do you want the cam to be? I've got a pretty aggressive set up in my car but it's not a daily driver . . . but ohhhhhh I love the sound of a lopey cam.
