Default Tire & Wheel size

I am autocrossing an 1990 Z51. She is lowered slightly to race height. My question is what is the largest wheel & tire I can run front and rear without rubbing the body work. Ideally I would like the size to be streetable as I have to drive to and from the competition.

Thanks

Art

From what I understand, 315's on 11" rims with 50mm offset will work. Haven't tried it yet myself, but have the wheels and tires are on order for my '90.

I just put 315's on all 4 corners last weekend. They are Sumitomo's and fit just fine.

On my lowered '90 I ran 315 Hoosiers (wider than any street tire) and they barley rubbed on tight, fast corners. Any street tire in a 315 with a 17x11 50mm offset wheel should work fine.

Kubs thanks. When you say 50mm offset did you have to use some kind of offset spacer or was it the way the wheels were made. Was looking at some rims at America's tire look just like my stock GS wheels, which look like yours. Got the feeling they should just bolt in.

11" wide Grand Sport wheels and most GS clones are made with a 50mm offset. Be careful, ZR1 wheels usea a 36mm offaset and stick out more.

Just under the hood.

I bought mine from OE Wheels LLC. and I believe the standard grand sport offset for that style wheel is 50mm. I didnt have to use any spacers.
