No codes, I think your right wish i knew how to bypass that thing/ It was runing yesterday. New plugs compresson was good & good spark to plugs & fule pressure was good? 75k on the clock
Defective VATS will not allow the starter to crank the engine, so that leaves VATS out. Internal combustion engines require spark, spark at the right time, fuel and air and in the correct ratio and cylinder compression in order to start and run. Use your timing light to see if you have spark at the right time during cranking. Use a fuel pressure gauge to see if you have fuel pressure (35-42 psi) and to see if it holds up for a long time with the ign off. Rapid pressure drop could be due to leaky injectors. Get a noid light (auto parts store), or make one with an LED (light emitting diode) and a series 680 ohm 1/2 watt resistor and connect it across an unplugged injector plug and see if it pulses during cranking. Homemade light must have the correct polarity connection to the injector plug to work. Pull some spark plugs and measure compression. Come back when you have some answers.
Hey Guys, Pulled my opti off to day when i took off the cap water came out!! Well now i know why it diden't want to start, Do you think i can clean it up and put it back on or replace it?
