What is wrong with old one? Bad clutch bearing? $10
Yeah, if it is just a bad clutch bearing. I'd first just try replacing the bearing. I believe you can get these at Autozone. At least with the 88-96, you have to have someone press the old bearing out, and press the new one in. Though that bearing on 88-96 is around $45.

Some compressor clutches need special tool, Ford, Mitsubishi, Chrysler were easy to replace.

Yeah, some you need a clutch puller. Don't know if the 84-87 need one. On the 88-96 you don't need any special tools.
One thing though, is the clutch supposed to be greased? When I had mine out, there was grease all over the place. I went ahead and cleaned everything up. Then rubbed some spark plug grease on the inside and outside of the coil. As that is where the pulley would be turning.
