Need help quick
Finishing my build. Tune was put on with "open" headers. Motor idled @ 900rpm with open pipes.
Once the pipes were connected, idle dropped to a stall (roughly 400rpm?) The pipes are the stock LT1 setup, minus the stock cats. I want quiet performance (but I also want the performance).
motor:
383 11.5/1comp, AFR 195s, comp cam 230-236, 1.6/1 rr, EM LTs ZF6, 58mm throttle body, 48# injectors.
I understand that this motor needs to blow hard. My question is what is the best option?
1) eliminate resonator?
2) get a new catback system? What brand?
3) can I use stock rear cans (LT1 94) without choking the system.
This is my last problem to resolve (I hope) to get back on the road. PLEASE HELP.

If it was tuned with open headers and the 02 sensors were near the collector opening, there is a good chance they received a false reading because of the exhast reversion bringing in fresh air to the 02 sensors. This will throw the tune way off when the exhaust system is bolted up.
