Default leaf spring thread count

i forgot to count the threads on my leaf springs when i did my u joints. Any body know how many should be exposed from the bottom of the nut? any help appreciated.

92 six speed coupe
standard suspension

I assume rear spring...

If stock I seem to remember they are castle nuts and there should be a hole in the bolt that the cotter pin goes through to secure the nut. That determines where the nut goes.

I just did mine. I threaded them up just far enough so I could get the cotter pin through the castle nut.

For the factory rear bolts and nuts.


But if you have aftermarket lowering bolts, you probably won't have a hole in them for a cotter pin.
Those use a nylock nut that is self locking. In that case just run them up so you have about 1/4" of bolt showing.
