Default 1995 tune up

my dads 95 has 33k miles on it and he asked me about a tune up. i told him there should be platinum plugs in the car and they shouldn't need to be changed.
I drove the car and it moves pretty good. The throttle repsonse is there.....but he doesn't think it takes the "gas" properly.

now my dad might still be thinking 70s muscle car ( since he owned them back in the day ) when he describes what he feels is lack of throttle response.

I called a local vette mechanic ( in lake zurich IL ) and he said he only recommends an " upper induction service." anyone familiar with this ?
i tried to perform some searches but i didn't come up with anything.

if so, anyone in chicago, illinois ( northwest burbs ) recommend a shop ?
i also left a message for D&M corvettes in downers grove..........

thanks in advance.

Maybe he means checking fuel pressure and that the injectors are working properly. Might not be a bad idea to change the fuel filter, air filter, as well as scrub out the throttle body.......they do get gummed up sometimes.

he checked the air filter, it is new. i told him about removing the T-body and cleaning it with 3m cleaner or some brake cleaner.

i will talk to my buddy who is a tech @ a dealer if he has any of the pressurized fuel injector cleaner.

i didnt think about the fuel filter, DUH.... i changed it on my camaro when i got it....
looks like we have starting point

They make throttle body cleaner too.

Also, pull your plugs and check them. Might be a good idea to swap them out as well.

Go with NGK TR-55 Double Platinum plugs. They're great. Might not be a bad idea to swap out the wires, wire looms, and plug holders, too. You can order them online from Mid-America Motorworks.

Don't forget to replace your PCV valve, too. An important, (but often neglected tune-up item). Ditto for 02 sensors.
