Default Hesitation when accelerating

Hello everyone
I'm having a problem with my '89 corvette coupe...when I'm in "drive" gear, I get a rough idle and also when I'm accelerating, I get a lot of hesitation. eventually the speed will pick-up, but the hesitation is very nagging. I want to take it to a shop, but before I start paying I would like to get an imput as to what the problem might be. thankx in advance, everyone.

Have ya changed the air filter (real easy), loosed the snorkel from the TB and sprayed a pile of TB cleaner(most difficult is spraying with one hand whilst wiggling throttle plate with the other), ran a bottle or two of fuel injector cleaner through it (grandma can do it), or changed the plugs and O2 sensor(I do this as a set).

You might have done all of this but you gave no information as to what you tried.

First thing I would look at is the ignition; cap, rotor, plug wires, and plugs.

Hello again to everyone who responded to my question. I tried cleaning the trottle body, but the rough idle and hesitation when acceleration still remains. I had the computer read and the only problem or suggestion that I got, was that the MAP line or port could be clogged. I don't know what this is, but I have the manual for my car, so I'll try to find out about it. If anyone have more info on what this is, please help...thankx in advance
