Hood release problem
I have an 85 that was recently in the shop. The mechanic tightened the hood springs (why, I don't know) and now when I pull the the hood release, only one side releases. The cable isn't broke. How do I release the hood? Would that special hood release tool work?

Try to push the hood down on the side that's stuck while having a helper pull the release handle. If that doesn't work, You'll have to manually release the latch. That's about the time I'd be bringing the car back to the mechanic to have them pop it open and properly readjust the springs. The C-4 model is a royal PITA to release the hood manually. The tool you see advertised will work with some patience. Good luck.
