Default Headers?

Does anyone have any opinions on headers for a stock 95. My biggest fear is breaking a bolt off in the head while trying to remove the stock exhaust manifolds. Has anyone experienced this and is it worth the risk?

If you start running into trouble, use heat/cold cycles on the bolt, and shock (hammer).

I think the general consensus is that headers aren't worth much on a stock LT1.

I agree with Tom. The more power you make the more headers help you. A bone stock engine might pick up 10 hp. But if you are going to do a bunch of mods, and get as deep as a head and cam swap, then headers really become worth the money.

Can't do long tubes in Cali either. Not sure about other states.

Had my stock manifolds off several times before I put on the long tubes.
Did not have any stuck exhaust bolts. Did break one of the studs for the exhaust connect when I pulled them for the last time.
They are not torqued very much.

Good Luck!
