http://www.internetracerssupply.com usually has a reasonable price. Speed Demon Motorsports which is a supporting vendor might be able to get you a slightly better price. The digital 6 is one of those things that is fairly constant from vendor to vendor, usually about $270 or so.

Your best bet is probably Summit which is usually $0.04 cheaper than Jegs. :) MSD doesn't give breaks to anyone.

You are right Scorp. Jegs-$279.99. IRS and Summit .04 cheaper. I think I'll look for a used one first.

I'm in the market for one unless I can find the right adapter connectors for an Accel 300 ignition I have. I see MSD's on eBay pretty regularly. Just have to bid at the right time. Here's a couple going on right now. Summit carries the proper adapter plug in harnesses.

I just picked up a MSD 6AL - just out of curiosity, what is the difference between the two and will the digital 6 work with the GM coil? TIA! :)

Can anyone tell me why one should go with a digital 6 vs. 6AL? I mean, if it's a $100.00 more, it should give you something above and beyond the 6AL right?

On the Accel 300+ Ignition, you must run a seperate ground lead from the case to a good ground on the frame, or you will continue to fry units. I know, I fried mine before I asked them

Mine was seperately grounded to the frame all by its lonesome. Only thing i can think of is its too far from the engine but i went up in guage size when i added the extra wire like i was supposed to or it just overheated. :cry

The Digital 6 has a lot more features than the 6AL. Check it out at http://www.msdignition.com One of the features I want is the single stage timing retard for use with nitrous. :seeya

If I am not mistaken, the digital MSD is only for distributorless ignition systems.
