Need HEI timing help for 91 auto
I am trying to time the ignition and in the manual it has two different methods; one for the L98 and one for a VIN8. What is the difference? which one should I use for my '91 with automatic transmission?

The basic method is to disconnect the timing wire near the firewall. I think it is a brown wire. Disconnecting the wire will take the advance out that the computer is supplying.
Then hook up your timing light to the #1 cylinder and point the light to the balancer.
