I have only had my 93' Vette a few months. It has 76K miles n it and today when I was driving it the AC fan came on and will not shut off. I tried removing the two relays on the drivers side of the radiator as per another post on this forum but it did not stop it.
I did unplug the connector feeding the fan on the passenger side and the fan stops but if I plug it back in it starts running again.
This happens with the key off.
Any suggestions? Also, does anyone have a link to a good troubleshooting manual for this year Vette?
GAGUY, the fan that is running is the AC fan that is under the hood on the passenger side. I've had the car since December and this is the first time it has happened. I did disconnect the two relays, one at a time, on the driver's side of the radiator and it had no effect. I just went out to the car again and if I plug the fan connector back in it start running again.
Well I ordered a new control module from Eckler's today. They had it in their 2009 catalog for $109.99 and their "on line" price was $119.99. They gave me the 2009 price plus shipping and tax which comes to $131. The local Chevy dealer would have had to order it and he quoted me $190.
Going to Monterey with the Vette this week-end. Guess if I need A/C or heat I can plug it in while driving and unplug it when stopped.
Hope it fixes it! The Dilbert's that designed the system stuck a 5 amp fuse in a circuit which monitors actual Blower Voltage running back to the Controls (to '89) or to the Programmer ('90 & up). Just so happens that if that fuse opens, you get the same result as a faulty Module - High Blower even with the key off. Through '89, the fuse is on the Firewall to the left of the Evaporator Case and it's wires will be the same color as what's hot at the Blower Motor (Black/Red or Purple). '90 and up puts it in the Box and should be labled PGMR or something like that. Anyway, if the new Module doesn't fix it, check the fuse and if it opened, it may need a new Blower Motor.

Thanks for the "heads up" on the fuse. Since I already placed the order I hope the module fixes it.
I was able to get one from the wreckers. Took a while but I found one on a 92 cadillac.
I just had to swap the heat sink. The cadillac's was larger.
Works fine.
Thanks for this thead.
Stu.

My 90 is having this problem and I can't find anything labeled PGMR. ANything else I should look for? I assume it's in the panel located on the passenger side.
I can't speak for the 90 vette and the information stated for it I assume is correct for it.
But according to my 94 FSM which is probably like the 93, that feedback fuse is not under the hood. It is in the instrument fuse block (IP) inside the car, passenger side. Fuse #1, A/C MDL, 5 amp is the feedback fuse to the programmer.
Check this out and see if Fuse #1 is open. It's in page 8A-66-0.
